Our Mission

To restore dignity to our unhoused neighbors in Savannah — one bag at a time.

Rooted in Savannah, Georgia since 2025.

“The measure of a city is how it treats the people who have the least.”

How We Began

At the beginning of summer in 2025, Rachel met a man who was homeless outside of a local grocery store. She stopped and they chatted for a bit and she purchased a few things he’d asked for from the store. His overwhelming gratitude for such a small act made her realize how helpful a bag of essentials could be to someone in need and she decided to start a summer project of collecting donations, making bags, and passing them out to Savannah’s homeless population.

As a result, Angel Bags of Savannah was born and is now run by a small group of friends for a reason. We believe that a city is changed not by any one act, but by people who keep showing up.

What We Believe

Three things hold us together.

Dignity First

We look people in the eye. We ask their name. We strive to make every recipient feel seen and respected.

Hand to Hand

We do not drop boxes on corners. We walk up, introduce ourselves, and hand deliver each bag personally.

Start Small, Stay Local

We are not trying to scale a machine. We are trying to know our neighbors, one block at a time.

Help us keep showing up.
